❓FAQs

Got Questions?
You’re not the only one. Whether you’re wondering if you need to bring your own ducks (you don’t), or just how competitive things get (very), we’ve got answers.
So fluff your feathers and dive in — the FAQ pond is open.

What even is this game?

It’s part solo or team challenge, part duck-hunting chaos, and part “how did we end up doing charades with oven gloves on?” You win ducks. You race to a pond. You probably lose your dignity along the way.

How do you play?

Complete solo tasks (Quacktions or QuackQuistions), collect ducklings, and waddle to Waddlewater Pond. But beware—your rivals are out to rob your ducks, block your moves, and generally stir up feathered mayhem.

Do I need to be good at quizzes or something?

Nope! All you need is a questionable sense of confidence and a willingness to flap around a bit. Challenges range from brainteasers to hilarious dares. Genius not required.

Is this suitable for children?

It’s suitable for fun children, yes. We recommend ages 8+ — but use your best judgement. If your 7-year-old is a chaos goblin with a love for ducks, you’re good.

What is the recommended age range?

The game is suitable for players aged 8 and up. Each card includes both easy and hard questions, so you can scale the challenge depending on who’s playing.

How many people can play?

2 to 4 players is ideal. But honestly, we’ve seen it work with one confused gran and 11 overly competitive cousins. Team play works great too—just nominate your challenge champion each round!

How long does a game last?

Average gameplay runs about 45 minutes to an hour. Or 2 hours if someone insists on narrating every duck’s backstory.

Is there a faster way to play?

Absolutely. For a speedier session, just collect six ducklings of any colour and race to the Launch Pad.

Once the first player wins, can gameplay continue?

Yes! Just return any leftover ducks from the winner’s Holding Pen back into the Nesting Ground Bag and keep playing to see who comes second. Or third. Or Most Dramatic Exit.

Do I act on my spin first or the Special Stepping Stone?

Special Stepping Stones are instant! For example, if you spin Green-3 and land on a Robber Duckie, you must steal a duckling before completing the challenge.

Do I have to waddle?

Technically, no. Spiritually? Always.

What happens if someone steals my duck?

Retaliation is absolutely allowed. Duck-based diplomacy is part of the game’s charm.

Are there Expansion Packs?

Not yet, but the ducks are plotting. Stay tuned for bonus packs, themed ducks, and possibly a “Revenge of the Pond” sequel.
